SSP Review – Safe and Sound Protocol Experience – 2 Weeks After Treatment

My name is Jaylee and I am 45 years old. This is my SSP Experience – Safe and Sound Protocol Listening Therapy – 2 Weeks After Treatment

I went through the Safe and Sound Protocol Therapy from January 4th through 8th of 2023. Prior to the holidays in 2022, I hit a low in life that I had never experienced before. My husband and I agreed I should find a therapist to talk to ASAP to see what was up. I have been to therapy several times in the past 3 decades, but it was very issue-specific. I was dealing with a single problem and not a bunch of ongoing stuckness, depression, and negative feelings.

I had been to counseling before and I saw a psychiatrist briefly in the summer of 2021. The psychiatrist did not go well. That doctor put me on medication which made me happy for a few weeks, but I could do little else and was not making progress with my overall wellbeing. I also gained more weight and lost my sex drive. No bueno. This last time, I sought out a behavioral therapist or a psychotherapist.

I started seeing my therapist in December of 2022. There were a few sessions where I spilled my guts as to what was bothering me, and she asked questions along the way. This experience was much different than my previous talk therapy sessions. When I asked her if the stuckness was ever going to go away, she answered YES, it will. Safe and Sound Protocol Therapy (SSP) was suggested to change the state of my nervous system to assist with further therapy.
